The Moral Communities Project is a research organization founded in 2012 at the University of California, Santa Cruz to examine contemporary social and political issues from the perspectives of moral psychology and social psychology.
We are a non-partisan, non-profit research organization advocating the use of social science research to inform and enlighten public discourse.
Our mission is three-fold:
- to help EDUCATE the public by providing theoretically-based and empirically-supported analysis of social and political issues
- to DISSEMINATE the research findings of our organization as well as those of others; and,
- to encourage members of the general public to PARTICIPATE in our studies as well as those of other social researchers.
